Training Division
AFTC only provides flaggers who are certified in the techniques of traffic control, and who have passed a training course taught by one of AFTC’s certified trainers. All certified Trainers have received extensive technical training Provided by the Association of General Contractors, and MUTCD, in compliance with the regulations set forth by the Department of Transportation in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts. Some of the topics discussed include: Functions & Responsibility, Day Time/Night, Time Traffic Control, Tools, Procedures with Flags-Paddles, Sign Placement, Safety, The Do’s and Don’ts, and Public Relations. In addition to class room training all flaggers, also receive additional on-the-job training from a certified trainers.

AFTC offers an OSHA Authorized Outreach Training programs for both the Construction & General Industries, 10 & 30 Hour Safety courses. AFTC offers professional safety services which may be on a retainer (long term basis) or per service provided basis. All safety services provided would be based upon your request or company’s safety requirements.
Businesses often do not have the resources or employees who are qualified or experienced to implement and manage a safety program within their company. A practical and economical way of meeting the minimum standards required and enforced by OSHA is to obtain the services of a company or individual to provide these services.
